Love In Kampala

Love in Kampala follow two unmarried Ugandan women who live in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Through their lonelyness and quest for answers about their lives, the film describes how sexual morality serves to control and exploit women in the male dominated society of Uganda. The moral condemnation of promiscous or “bad girls” is being led by Christians and

moralists, but also exists as powerful and unchallenged component of common morality. Through the lives of a respected dancer and a educated Christian woman the films gives an intimate account of how sexual morality victimizes not only all the women identified as prostitutes or “loose women”, but also the ones who choose to subdue their sexuality.
